Train with Aimee: Just for Girls (Tues)

This class will meet weekly, for 6 weeks. The tween years can be tough. The goal of this course is to help girls define themselves, their needs and self-awareness through guided discussion and physical fitness. Each class will include 15 minutes of guided wellness discussions and then a 30 minute workout focused on fun, general well-being. The guided discussions will cover all things tween girl...puberty, nutrition, hygiene and stress management, among others. These conversations will be followed by a 30 minute workout. The 6 week session will include pilates, yoga and general strength training. To participate in this class, girls just need a yoga mat, towel, free weights and a willingness to have fun! ------------------------------------- About Aimee: Aimee has been working as a health and wellness professional for 20 years. She holds a M.S. in Exercise, Fitness and Health Promotion; is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES); and has certifications from Yogafit, Stott Pilates, Physical Mind Institute, ACE and AFAA. . Aimee is also a Professor at American University, George Washington University and Marymount University; teaching courses in Health Promotion, Exercise Physiology, Women's Health, Stress Management and Foundations of Health Principles.
